"We had been to the Carterville location but not to Carl Junction and we were pleased. Love the menu selections and location. Wife had the ghost pepper sandwich with pulled pork and okra. I had blackened catfish w seasoned fries and coleslaw and it was all great. Awesome service and ambiance."

"Service was slow. Took a while to get seated. By the time we showed up and got our food it was one entire hour. The food had interesting flavors. The floor in the dining area was sticky and felt gross. Good options on their sides."

"A first timer so went with special of the day. A Smoked Brisket on think slices of lightly seasoned bread with tomato and other garden veggies. I am a longtime fan of smoked meats and this place has it down to perfection. Definitely will return as already told some my treat. 5 star food"

"The food here was awesome. We ordered meatballs as an appetizer and they were a little misleading they may have been homemade but didn’t taste homemade the sauce they were in and the chips they came with were very tasty though, was not a fan of the raw mozzarella on top though, felt like it could’ve been torched or broiled. I ordered the southern trio pasta and my wife ordered JT’s way. The pasta itself is amazing, I love the fact that they make their own pasta. My wife’s pasta was delicious and the Gorgonzola cream sauce was funky but if you love funky cheese you would really like this. My southern trio pasta was fantastic, super bold flavors, which is exactly what I would expect from a Cajun style pasta. We also had potato soup that came with our meal which was also delicious it seemed to have smoked chicken in it, which was a unique taste in a potato soup but I wouldn’t change it. Overall this place is a great dining experience, if you have never had Italian smokehouse food before I would definitely give this place a try, the prices are unbeatable for quality of food and the portions are huge, you will have leftovers. We definitely will be returning."

"My husband wanted to eat here for his birthday. We had been to the original place in Carterville and was impressed with it. We arrived about 2pm on a Sunday and the place was not busy but there were several customers. Our server showed up quickly and got our drinks in fast and then our meal order. Service was very good and attentive. My husband ordered the Blackened Catfish dinner with fries and slaw. Large portions and the fish was absolutely amazing, and the fries were very fresh and crispy. I ordered The Ghost Pepper with pulled pork and a side of okra. The sandwich was huge, and the flavors were delicious. The okra was fried perfectly, and they were tender inside and crispy outside. We will definitely return in the future. Food, service, quality, and prices are very impressive"

"While we wouldn't have made the drive from home, this is *definitely* worth the detour from Joplin. I hoped for high average, but all of our food was incredible. You can tell the love put into cooking. I docked the service a little, for sure, but it may have been an off day we'll be certain to give it another shot!"
